" The Shooting Federation of Canada is a non-profit association chartered as the National Governing body responsible for promoting, developing and organizing Recreational and Olympic target shooting in and for Canada."

The Marksmen Club has chosen to participate in the Smallbore Pistol Award program. The program is overseen at a national level offering award crests for recognition of improvement in shooting skill.

Targets are shot at 20 yards or 25 meters with a .22 calibre pistol on official targets available from the league director. Targets may be shot over a period of time, higher scoring targets may be saved and applied to higher awards as long as the target is only used once for scoring. The program is designed to operate on the honour system and is intended to encourage individual improvement.

Although it is possible to participate in the program on your own, we would prefer that you shoot your targets on a league night. This will allow everyone to utilize the skill and enthusiasm of others to improve their own scores.
